Hour 9

Hello, everyone! I’m your newest cohost, Anastasia of Birdbrain(ed) Book Blog! This is my first time cohosting anything and I’m very excited. When I was prepping for my posts I realized I needed at least two things: interesting Youtube videos and lolcat pictures. So here’s a lolcat picture:

funny pictures of cats with captions

Did it cheer you up? More importantly, I know that hour 9 is generally when the near-midpoint lag starts to set in. Are you all feeling energized? Have you been taking breaks to refresh and refuel?

Terri of BrownGirl BookSpeak is hosting the In Other Words mini-challenge this hour. Participants have to guess the book title given to them in CODE. Well. It’s sort of a code– go check out the post to see what I mean, and you could win a book of your choice from The Book Depository!

Winners Announced
Yay, the first prize I get to pick myself! It’s random commenter of the hour, Erin! Congratulations! Pick a prize from the prize list and email your choice to Vasilly at 1330vblog at gmail.

The Oldies But Goodies mini-challenge has winners, and those winners are Savs and Simplerpastimes! And two more surprise winners: Amanda and Jillian! Woohoo! Please email Allie to claim your prizes.

  1. Welcome, newest co-host, we’re glad to have you! πŸ™‚

And after trudging through a rather tedious book, I’m finally on to one that has been really fun and into to get into.

  2. Welcome, Anastasia!! And yes, yes that LOLCAT did cheer me up…bunches. Thank you for that. πŸ˜€

Now, go forth and have fun co-hosting.

  3. Welcome Anatasia! Okay that is a challenging mini-challenge. I think I was able to bet one. I like the picture just wish it could be a dog instead of a cat. πŸ™‚

  4. Hi!~
The photo did cheer me up…but the challenge is too time consuming. Back to my book and reading groove.

  5. Welcome, Anastasia! I love the pic. Hour 9 is when I am finally going to get energize and move forward. I had a little bit of a slow start for the last 8 hours. I had the intention, but everyone around me wanted attention. Now is my time to shine :-0

  6. LOL-cats for the win!

My brain felt a little tired when I finished my book and so took a couple of hours off not only to make and eat dinner but also just to zone out and passively consume some telly.

I’ve started a new book now.

  7. That LOLcat is priceless.
I am sure I would read faster if I had a cat. On the plus side, I have Dad’s homemade pasta sauce to look forward to for dinner.

  8. How did I miss this master list thing? So awesome – I can’t wait to see the end results. Thanks for co-hosting Anastasia!

  9. Welcome! I’ve actually found my second wind (or maybe it’s my third wind?) doing much better now than I was two hours ago. Yippee!!

  10. Wow! You are all amazing! I tweeted earlier about how powerful the universe works: you’re all reading up a storm and I’m selling a ton of books. CRAZY! πŸ™‚

  11. So much for getting a lot of reading done, this hour has been spent weed eating my yard..got to get it cleaned up while I can..would rather be reading though. πŸ™

  12. Love that we are keeping a master list of what everyone reads. It will be neat to see if anyone is reading the same things! Welcome to hosting!
