Hour 5 – A Reading Rainbow Read-a-thon

Hi Read-a-thon friends! This is Amanda from Fig and Thistle and I know there is so much reading going on. We’re only five hours in and I’m pretty sure you’re “mad” with reading power right now. I urge you to not burn through your TBR too quickly! Rest your eyes, have some water, and walk around a bit. You may feel like you can do anything, but your eyeballs will feel the dance of a thousand flames later!

Speaking of Reading Rainbow, don’t forget that the kids in your life can participate in Read-a-thon! Color some bookmarks, read a picture book, or enjoy a Very Hungry Caterpillar themed snack time.

So get on up, move, say hi to people and then get your read on!

  1. Hi! Which link isn’t working? I just checked them all. Let me know and I will try to fix it. Hope your reading is going well!

  2. I posted an Instagram pic this morning (tashajk72) of my husband and kids joining me in the Readathon for about ten minutes. And the kids (ages 6 and almost 4) have a TBR stack for me to read to them tonight! Readathon — Fun For The Whole Family!

Now I’m going to drink some water while going for a short walk 🙂

  3. It’s working now. WordPress has a nasty habit of adding extra code to our links that has to be cleared up after posting.

  4. That’s great! My little ones are 2 and 4 and they were making little book piles last night. It warms my nerdy heart. Enjoy your walk!
