Hour 20 – Book Adaptations

Does anyone else watch The Lizzie Bennett Diaries??? If not, you need to get on that ship. Seriously, they are so good. Anyway, this is Kate from Kate’s Book Nook and I will be your cohost for the rest of the readathon! Are you excited??? I know I am!  (PS: Unless you are really experiencing a rush of energy, I do not recommend picking up Jane Austen right now. I love Jane. She is great, but if you have been reading for 19 hours… perhaps reading the version with zombies?)

A big shout out to our cheerleaders!!! You guys have been fantastic! Next time we should have cheerleaders for our cheerleaders! But in all seriousness, thanks so much for cheering all of us readers on. You give us the strength to push past the weariness and keep reading on! Please goodness knows how much a “new comment” notice brightens up a persons day.

Random Fact of the Hour:

Isaac Asimov is the only author to have a book published in every major Dewey Decimal category. (In honor of Dewey)

  1. Heheh. Great motivation! I’m reading a zombie pick, too: Corey Redekop’s Husk. Hilarious and smart. Perfect for these later hours. Thanks for all your hard work hosting: you rock!

  2. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve nearly dropped my book while nodding off!! Thank goodness for these hourly posts to get me moving 🙂

  3. @Martina – I am glad we can help with that. Have you thought about using twitter? That might keep you going a little longer!

  4. I am pretty tired right now, but the hourly updates have been a lot of fun this go round. Thanks for all your hard work and for taking the last shift!

  5. Thanks for all the hourly updates. I haven’t made it to many of the challenges but just “checking in” helps with the sleeping issue!

  6. K this was my first intro into the Lizzy Bennet Diaries and I love them! I want to watch them all, will do after I finish and recover. Onward to Bleak House!

…Though my body is beginning to rebel.

  7. @ Beka – Glad I could introduce you to them! They are great. Make sure you catch all of the character spin off channels as well.
