Hour 2 – Hey Reader! You So Fine. You So Fine You Blow My Mind.

I am so sorry. If that ear wormed you, I mean.

But I want to take a minute to thank our cheerleaders. We have 35 cheerleaders this year, made up into 7 teams, all cheering for over 400 readers. So let’s give them couple of things:

1. A big huge round of applause. They are AWESOME.

2. Please, for their sakes and their sanity, please turn off CAPTCHA for the day. It will help us so much as we try to hit our 60+ blog allotment.

Also, a huge hand for Andi, my cohort in this amazing experience. Without her SUPREME ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLZ, we’d all be lost. Seriously.

  1. Congrats, winners!!!! You guys rock. . . and I’m a little jealous! 🙂

What are you guys all reading? I’m reading The Man Who Quit Money, which is about a man who one day decided he was going to live without using any money at all. It’s kind of like choosing to be homeless. I heard about it on NPR and it’s really interesting so far.

  2. Amanda, all of our reading participants are split up into teams behind the scenes for recordkeeping purposes.

Did you sign up as a cheerleader? If not, you don’t have to worry about this. All 400+ blogs/Twitter handles/YouTube channels will hopefully be visited by Cheerleaders today!

  3. A little help here I have nooo idea what to do right now. My friend introduced me to this because she knew that I love to read and so we both signed up and now I need major help. Please make this fun and not frustrating for me.

  4. Alexandra! You have lots of choices. You can read as much as you want. You can do hourly mini-challenges if you want. You can Tweet if you want. It’s totally FULL OF OPTIONS! 😀

If you have a specific question, feel free to reply back or Tweet me @estellasrevenge or @readathon.

  5. Fantastic, Alexandra! When you finish a book, feel free to click on the link for the Books Read Database! We keep track to see how many we read as a group. 🙂

  6. Yay for the cheerleaders. I was one last year and know it’s a lot of work. Thanks guys!

And yay for me, winning a book already. I’ve only read like 30 pages so far. 🙂

  7. Alexandra – I’m Ella’s mom; is she the friend you’re talking about? She said that she told you about it. You can send me your email address buriedinprint@gmail.com and I will hook you up with her so you and Ella can cheer each other along through the day. It’s very cool that you’re taking part, and I’m happy that Andi is showing you the ropes.
