Hour 2 – Just getting started!

You may or may not notice throughout the day that the blog is having some issues. We’ve been working on it for about 24 hours. Talked with support. Changed all kinds of things. And it hasn’t helped. Things move, but it is SUPER SLOW. Please know we’re doing all we can to make this as smooth as possible.

That out of the way, how are you doing? Are you knee-deep in a good book? Whatcha reading? Who is reading with you? Do you have a sweet fur baby in your lap? Do you have plenty of food and drinks to keep you sustained? We’re just getting started here! Start out right!

  1. I’m reading We Were Liars by E. Lockhart. I got a lovely warm tea to keep me going and the (annoying yet calming?) chirps of birds and crickets. That good ol’ suburban life.

  2. Finished Odes to Common Things in hour 1, onto something heavier now that the coffee is kicking in! Going to start The Man in the High Castle. Alternative history for the win!

  3. I have a fur baby on my lap constantly, my dachshund Echo. My other dog, a Cairn terrier named Max, comes over now and again for cuddles, but won’t stay on my lap for too long (which Echo probably wouldn’t let him do anyway).

Just started Maigret is Afraid, by Georges Simenon. I haven’t read this series before, so it should be interesting.

  4. I am reading Playing Hooky by Rita Webb. My hound dog is snuggled on the sofa next to me under a blanket. She forget’s she’s a dog and has to be under the covers too.

  5. Looks like a lot of fun.

    ENJOY everyone.

I will be looking forward to seeing the results. I won’t be joining in, but will be vicariously having the fun through everyone.

  6. Slow going so far because I keep getting distracted. I’m loving my current read, Beartown by Fredrik Backman. While my pet dog, Theo, is not with me right now, I am reading under the covers while a thunderstorm rages outside my window. Couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect setting! 😁

  7. I am working my way through JD Robb series currently in Calculated in Death. I have some audio books to get me through the middle of the day so I can move a bit.
