Hour 19 – Reading Buddies

Hi everyone! This is your co-host Elizabeth from Earl Grey Editing. It’s mid-afternoon here in the east of Australia and Hour 19 is getting underway. This is about the time of the readathon I see a lot of names from the Antipodes on the Twitter hashtag keeping things lively. If that’s you, take a moment to cheer on our friends struggling through the wee hours in other parts of the world. A special shout-out to Brona of Brona’s Books for heading up #teamANZ2017. She really knows how to rally us together!

I promised to introduce you to my two helpers.

Hannah’s in the foreground and Chippa is in the background. They both cuddle with me at different points during a readathon–especially right now, as the weather is chilly in April. However, Chippa is more of a dedicated reading buddy than Hannah. Here he is keeping my sweetheart company for some reading time in the hammock.

  1. Yikes can we mark links to video things somehow? I just twice clicked on links to mini challenges that turned out to be auto-play videos on YouTube and startled my partner out of a deep sleep 🙁

  2. I have my two cats…but they like to lay on the books and head butt them so…not really helpful.

  3. Zoey has been my reading buddy. She is my shih tzu and frequently picks what book we read. She has decided I’m now on my own and has gone to sleep.

  4. What a pair of cuties! It’s nice that they keep you company. My two take themselves off to bed when they get too tired and leave me on my own!
