Hour 18 – The Caffeine Hours!

Welcome to Hour 18! I’m so proud of you for making it this far already! I’m Andi from Estella’s Revenge, and one of your Dewey’s organizers.

While I used to be a night owl in my younger days, as I’ve gotten older, had a kiddo, and since I have four dogs who want a midnight hug from time to time, I am far LESS of a night owl. Add in some wicked insomnia, and I cherish my sleep. CHERISH!

Somehow, despite all that, I always seem to take this next-to-last hosting shift because I LOVE the energy that’s still going strong both here and on Twitter at this hour!

We have several hours to go yet, but what are your secrets for lasting into these later hours? Tell me down in the comments! I might be hopped up on caffeine!

  1. Coffee is my secret. Plus random bursts of housework to wake me up. Not sure why, but cleaning always does that

  2. Gah! Housework is a great idea! Hubs cleaned ours this morning. I could still do some kid toy straightening.

  3. Oh man, I have hit a wall! Everyone in my house is asleep and I think I might be headed that way. I’ll keep reading as long as I can though!

  4. I, erm… well, I slept for 5.5 hours! The readathon started at 2 pm my time so there was no way I was going to last the full 24 hours. But I’m back for more reading now.

    Hang in there, Andi!

  5. I had a bowl of cereal and I’m taking Twitter breaks a lot! If I add up all the tweets I’ve read I think it counts as a whole book 😉

  6. I’ve been taking a lot of breaks to check Instagram. The community on there has been awesome! Plus, I switch between a few books so I always have more than one on the go.
