Hour 18 – And the fun continues!

Dana back for hour 18! How are you holding up? The thing I love the most about this read a thon and is that it’s totally come as you are…if you can’t stay up the whole time or you want to take a cat nap or you want to read straight through…we’re all here just enjoying a day dedicated to reading.

Around this time my eyes sometimes start getting more tired and that’s when I start listening to an audio book to give my eyes a break. Do you listen to books on audio? Let me know in the comments below.

I’ve enjoyed hanging out with everyone and I hope you enjoy the rest of the read a thon!

A cute bookish meme to close my time out…

  1. It’s not something I’ve ever done but, after reading so many positive comments about it, I just may give it a try.

  2. For some reason, I can only listen to audiobooks that I already read physically. I’m not sure why though.

  3. Yep, I listen to audiobooks while I cook and drive. I’m picky, though: if a narrator isn’t doing it for me, I’ll listen long enough to decide whether it’s worth getting the physical book, and switch. I also listen to books I’ve read before, as a sort of “passive” reading experience, while I do things like more routine work tasks or play video games — easy enough to multitask if it’s a familiar story.

  4. I’ll be listening to an audiobook after I finish my current print book (only 70 pages to go!), because I also have to get some work stuff done, and it’s a perfect way to trudge through that.

  5. Oh no! Sorry to hear about your ankle but am glad you’re getting to have a bit of fun and read!

  6. I’ve learned that I look at whatever I’m listening to if it gets really good so listening in the car or when I’m doing something important doesn’t work out so well for me. LOL

  7. I love audiobooks. Today I have been reading the same book. I’ve gone from paper, to ereader and not I’m on audiobook because my eyes were going crossed, lol.

  8. Mine too! I’m being extra careful as I type in reply to comments on here and over on the Twitter feed! LOL
