Hour 17 – The Cranky Hours?

Helloooo, friends! Andi here, from Estella’s Revenge.  YOU GUYS!!! I can’t believe it’s already Hour 17! Give me a “Woot!” if you’re still awake!

Tell me the truth…are you getting a bad case of the crankies? Then check out this guy. He gets really touchy if anyone interrupts his reading time. All in good fun!

Good luck as we head further into the early (late?) hours! I’ll try my best to give you something to help stay awake. While you’re here, why not give us a general update on your reading!

How many books have you read so far? What’s your favorite?

  1. Woohoo! Andi is here! “Woot”…I’m awake. I’ve only finished one book so far but I am off to read the written word. Love the video! My husband would probably say I make the same face when he interrupts my reading. 😉

  2. I’ve finished three: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Screaming in the Silence, and Beguiled. I’m currently listening to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and reading The Host, which is my favorite. 🙂

  3. Woot. I’ve only managed two books, and I’m not even done the second. Too distracted with the mini-challenges! But I’m having fun, & that’s what matters. 🙂 Thanks for co-hosting!

  4. Woot! I’m still awake! I have not finished a book yet, which is a little disheartening. Next year I’ll do a better job selecting lighter, shorter books. This 700+ page biography of Karl and Jenny Marx was probably not the best choice!

But, while I don’t have one completed book yet, I am within 100 pages of finishing 3 of the 5 books I’ve been cycling through. I’m not sure how much fight I have left in me but I’m hoping to finish at least one of them!

  5. I’m still here – my goal is to make it until hour 20 (that’s midnight my time). So far I’ve finished one book and am almost 1/2 way through a second…which I’m happy about!

  6. I haven’t finished a book yet, but I’ve made a pretty big dent in Little Brother by Cory Doctorow (audio) and stay Awake by Dan Chaon.

  7. Woot! Andi taking on the late-nite shift … you are the best! Happy Read-a-thon to you!!! I’m almost finished my third. Two were overdue rereads, but the newbie, Sinners and the Sea by Rebecca Kanner was fab!!

  8. I’ m still awake but starting to feel sleepy (its just after midnight here). I’ve finished 3, read (aloud) half way through another, and just started a fifth. I think I need more caffeine…

  9. Still here though feeling kind of sleepy but I’m almost done with book 3. Another cup of coffee might be a good plan for me before finishing it though.

  10. Woot! Woot!
I am still going but fighting sleep in between as my sister has already fallen asleep in a chair next to me.
I am on my third book, though the second was only 90 pages.
Hopefully it will now get more easy as we in Denmark have just passed 7am as I am writing this. It is light again and the sun is trying hard to come through the clouds.

  11. I’m doing pretty well but will have to sleep soon. I never know what to think about that video. It’s funny, and creepy, and reminds me of my brother.

  12. I was tired and went to sleep for maybe an hour but I am up now. I finished one book so far and working on a second.

I am really enjoying the second which is Beautiful Creatures.
