Hour 13…You’re on the Downhill Slope!

Readerbuzz in Spring

It is Hour 13. I’m Deb Nance at Readerbuzz and I’m here as your host for the next two hours. It’s my lucky thirteenth Readathon. Woo hoo! I’m here to urge you on. You are on the downhill slope! Good job.

But I see it in your eyes….You are getting tired. You are feeling weary. I see it from here.

Do not despair. I’ve done a little research for you on Secret Ways to Stay Awake When You Are Very, Very Tired and I will now share a couple of  these little hints:

Tug on Your Earlobes. Pulling down on your earlobes can help you stay awake and alert when you’re feeling sleepy.  Try it.

Chew Peppermint Gum. This may generate just enough physical activity to keep you alert.

Crank Up the AC. Warm, stuffy environments speed up mental fatigue. There you go…give these a whirl! Hang in there. You can do it!

  1. Good tips! I haven’t heard of the earlobe one, but I did know that about the AC. Like when you’re driving and tired, you make it colder to stay away.

  2. Apparently I need to turn on the fan and tug on my ear….I have, unintentionally, been asleep at the wheel. Apologies, all.

  3. Ooo, thanks for these tips, Deb. I am indeed feeling tired, although it is only 6:35 here. Thought if I went around blogs and twitter to see what is up it might wake me up some…I shall do this whilst tugging on my earlobes. Thanks again!

  4. All around the world I can hear the sound of pages turning and earlobes being tugged. Excellent.
