I’m currently reading Firstlife by Gena Showalter!
    2. How many books have you read so far?

    4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
My main interruptions were having to go and make/eat lunch and dinner for myself. I dealt with it knowing that it’s okay to take some time away from reading; it’s good to have a break and the read-a-thon shouldn’t make you stressed to stick to a strict schedule.
    5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?
What surprises me most is how fast time has been going! I can’t believe that it’s already been 12 hours and that we’re halfway done.

    3. What book are you most looking forward to for the second half of the Read-a-thon? I can’t wait to finally read The Star Touched Queen by Roshini Chiniski? I don’t think thats how you spell it.
    4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those? The internet is a pretty big distraction but I use a timer so that I know if I go on my phone it is more effort to turn the timer off and just easier to read. Essentially me being to lazy to turn the timer off and go on the internet is whats getting me reading.
    5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? I have already done better than last year and I am my own competition so I am surprised I did so and am pleased.

    4. Have you had many interruptions? How did you deal with those?
I’ve had A LOT of interruptions. Prior plans that I had to keep, people wanted to talk to me, pets needing attention, etc. I used the plans I had already made to just take a break, but I’ll confess that I’m a bit frustrated that I haven’t been able to make as much progress as I wanted to!
    5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far?

    3. I’m definitely hoping to finish the Selection soon, and then I’m actually not sure what I’ll start after this… lol!
    4. I had my friend’s piano recital earlier today and then making dinner, but I read in the car there and back and then read whenever I was waiting for food to cook!
    5. What surprises me most is how many people are participating! This is my first one, so I didn’t know so many people did it!

  32. 1. Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia woolf
    2. Sadly, I haven’t finished anything yet
    3. If I can finish Mrs. Dalloway first, I’m looking forward to the immortal life of Henrietta lacks.

Later, my boyfriend insisted we go to the dog park, but I was able to read while we were there. Also, I may have taken a few power naps throughout the day. Reading stream of consciousness is exhausting!
    5. Location is more important than I expected. Reading in bed runs the risk of falling asleep

  33. Too lazy to write another post so here we go…

    5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? That I am not as upset at the interruptions this time. Last two readathons I felt aggravated at the interruptions because I was so focused on the amount that I read. 4. Have you had many interruptions? I’ve had a few chatting kids bug me. How did you deal with those? I’ve just nodded, smiled and said, “Okay, I’m almost finished, so let me get back to reading,” no matter how far into the book I am.
    5. What surprises you most about the Read-a-thon, so far? For me it’s the small amount of interruptions I’ve had. Or maybe there have been more than a few, but I’ve been shutting them down pretty quickly. Either way I’m less frustrated than I was in October.
