  3. Hey everyone. Coming to you from Montclair New Jersey. I plan on plowing through with the book I’ve been reading, Edge of Eternity by Ken Follett. Sounds like a soap opera doesn’t it?
    My fave snack is chocolate but that might make me sleepy so I’m going to try not to indulge in that. I’ve done the readathon before but was disappointed I didn’t make it through the whole day. Going to try again.

    Single, I read a lot, I am not particularly fast though. It used to be UF, but this year I started heavily into SF again.
    Just got into audiobooks this year. I like to travel, I like slow food and Scotch. I grew up in a wine growing region in the SW of Germany, close to the Alsace.

    5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today?
    I didn’t. This is my thrid time, I think. No plans.

    Not only do I love to read, I love to crochet. I love to make things for people. Currently I’m making Christmas gifts, but next fall I’m going to turn my love of making things into a business and open and Etsy shop.

    Last readathon I didn’t take as many breaks as I should have. This time I’ll take more and longer breaks….maybe.

    4) I’ve loved books for as long as I remember and have always wanted to be part of a book community. But since my reading is very haphazard, I end up psyching myself out of every group event. So here I am, Dewey’s Readathon will be where I break my (non)spell and find new friends!
    5) This is my first time participating. I’m most looking forward to reading with 1500 others from all over the world all at the same time for 24 hours. How cool is that!

    2) I’m looking forward to re-reading To Kill A Mockingbird most. It’s one of my favourites.
    3) I put a container of my favourite ice cream away for tonight.
    4) I’m 38, and I’m not the only avid reader in the family. My 10-year-old daughter will join me and we’ll read together. I love to read outside but the weather here won’t allow that for much of today and tomorrow. But we’ll see.
    5) It’s my first 24h readathon and I’m looking forward to the whole experience. I’ve never read for more than 4 hours constantly, so I hope I can extend that time.

    I’m looking forward to setting aside a big chunk of time for reading. Life too often gets in the way of my reading time.
