  1. Just saw on Twitter that y’all are up to 757! I’m not officially signed up, so if there are more like me, we could be to 800. 🙂 I just realized that I could’ve slept an extra hour – reading from TX, but the anticipation was killing me. Happy Reading to everyone today! I’m looking forward to reading and checking in on the happy buzz of “book talk” all day long.

  2. 1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
    The UK.

    2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
    Lord of the Flies

    3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Hmm… ice cream! (mint choc chip!)

    4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
I really should be revising over the weekend but reading seems more important! I often do find myself making reading my top priority even when it should be other things (eating, sleeping, socialising, school, ect. ect.)

    5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I didn’t participate in October but I did last April. Last time I wasn’t planning to go to sleep but ended up falling asleep at 1 or 2am and sleeping until about 8. This time I’ll plan sleep and set an alarm so I don’t miss lots of reading time. I think 4 hours sleep will keep me going.

  3. 1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?

Cambridgeshire, UK, where it is a sunny, if cloudy day. Local time for start of the readathon is 1pm.

    2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Probably The Gospel of Loki, although I’ve got so many books both in hard copy and on Kindle that I’ve not read, that I could read one of about 300 and not read something I’ve read before!

    3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?

Am I meant to have snacks? OK, that’s DH on an errand to the local shop, then.

    4) Tell us a little something about yourself!

I’ve been an avid reader since I taught myself to read at about 18 months old. Yes, really. I didn’t believe it myself, until my daughter did the exact same thing. It’s scary, seeing a baby starting to read when most are just learning their first words. Spooky, I tell you!

Now, I divide my free time between reading (mostly fantasy) and writing (again, mostly fantasy). I’ve not really changed from the kid who felt the backs of wardrobes in case this once I’d find my way through to Narnia!
